Dr Lou Luddington

Mapping and Social Media Support

Lou studied at the University of Wales, Bangor to gained her degree then a PhD in Marine Biology in 2000. Since then she have worked in marine conservation and the outdoor sector as a guide and hase become a PADI Dive Master, British Canoeing 4 star sea kayak leader, surf coach and certified Marine Mammal Observer.

While at Habitat Info Lou worked with Lutfor Rahman to produce distribution and GPS movement maps for tagged African Vultures and handled support work for the ARDB. She also oversaw all social media interactions for Habitat Info.

She now runs professional development courses for outdoor guides and instructors including the Marine Environments module for the International Sea Kayak Guides Association. She is also an accomplished underwater photographer and writes a column for the sea kayaking magazine Ocean Paddler on marine life.

Lou is now planning to sail around the world with her husband Tom to provide education and information bout Marine Life. You can follow their progress here:
